Life is too short to waste. Dreams are fulfilled only through action, not through endless planning to take action."

As we enter basketball season. . .
Last year as we geared up for basketball season, I shared a few thoughts about USD No. 448’s expectations for all parties involved in the “basketball experience” — fans, coaches, players, students . . . Overall, I felt that we had a pretty good season last year as it re- lated to some of the expectations that we had set. In my opinion, the most obvious change had to do with Pre-K to fourth grade students being less mobile at ballgames.

Each year the Inman Education Association grants monies to one Inman High School graduate who is majoring in education and plans to teach in the field of education. The IEA scholarship in conjunction with a scholarship provided by the Milt Goering Memorial Fund provides $500 to a deserving student and is called the IEA/Milt Goering Scholarship.

This past spring, our staff and Board of Education made a major decision to put iPads in the hands of about 180 students at USD No. 448. This decision has resulted in an interesting, eventful and positive journey. There are a number of lessons to be learned from this decision.
• Change — Change continues to be a constant in our society. Although the iPad was around last year at this time, it was still in the infancy stage, not fully developed.

We have received the Burrton Boys Basketball Tournament bracket -- Inman Plays Little River on Tuesday, January 17 @ 8:00.
